Preparing Your Home for a Pest Control Visit in Atlanta: A Comprehensive Guide

Preparing your home for a pest control visit is essential to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment and the safety of your family and pets. At Pest Control Atlanta, we provide comprehensive pest control services, including Bed Bug Treatment and Termite Treatment, to residents in Atlanta and surrounding areas, such as Candler Park and Loring Heights.

Before the Visit

Before our pest control specialists arrive, there are several steps you can take to prepare your home. These include cleaning and decluttering, storing food and pets, and providing access to all areas of your home. Our Sanitation and Cleanup Services can help with this process. For more information on the types of pests we handle, check out our blog post on What types of pests does Atlanta Pest Control handle?.

Interior Preparation

Inside your home, make sure to vacuum and mop all floors, especially in areas where pests have been spotted. Remove any clutter, toys, or items that may be obstructing access to areas where our specialists will be working. If you have pets, ensure they are secured in a separate room or outside to prevent any potential risks. We also recommend scheduling a Termite Inspection to identify any potential termite damage.

Exterior Preparation

Outside your home, trim any trees or shrubs that may be touching your home, as these can provide a pathway for pests to enter. Remove any debris, leaves, or weeds from your yard, and ensure that all windows and doors are sealed properly. For new constructions, consider our Pre Construction Pest Treatment to prevent pest infestations from the start. Residents in Pittsburgh and Summerhill can benefit from our comprehensive pest control services.

During the Visit

During the pest control visit, our specialists will work to identify the source of the pest infestation and provide a treatment plan to eliminate the pests. We use environmentally friendly products, as discussed in our blog post on Are your pest control products environmentally friendly?.
